Alan is an expert in the responsible use of AI and machine learning. Having served as Trusted AI Director at a fortune 100 company, he understands the challenges of developing and promoting responsible AI practices. Importantly, Alan has a extensive experience in developing and deploying machine learning models. His comfort in both technical and not-technical issues lets him design responsible AI solutions that work for all stakeholders.

Alan began his career with a Ph.D. in statistical physics. He then moved to industry building models for Liberty Mutual Insurance and later as a freelance data scientist. He moved on to manage a data science team. For the last two years, as Director of Trusted AI at Liberty Mutual he envisioned and stood up their responsible AI program.
